Vanessa Gendron
PSF Associate Artist Vanessa Azyzah Marise Gendron, born in Quebec, Canada, completed her theatrical training at the Theatre Department of the University of Ottawa where she worked on a multitude of projects as an actor or stage manager with Theatre 100, La Comedie des deux Rives, and Vox Theatre. Since 1999, Vanessa has lived in Prague, Czech Republic where she has performed with international theatre troupes and is presently one of the artistic directors of Divadlo Miloco. Prague Shakespeare Festival appearances include Escalus in Romeo and Juliet, 1st witch in Macbeth and Viola in Guy Roberts' workshop of Twelfth Night. Vanessa has also performed in the following: Good Night Desdemona, Good Morning Juliette (2000), The Encyclopedia of the Dead (2002) - ensemble work, Labyrinth of the World (2003), Le Cabaret Mimo (2004-2005), Le Mimo SHOW (2005), Sex, Drugs, Rock-n-Roll (2007), La Machine (2008) Love and War (2009). Gendron can be seen in the following films: Last Holiday, The Illusionist, Faubourg 36. Her children's theatre company "Azyzah Entertainment" focuses on original work utilizing interactive theatre, puppetry, live music, song and video.
