Jeff is the co-Artistic Director of Akanda. He also functions as an actor, sound designer, and music composer. Prior to arriving in Prague in 2004, Jeff acted in and provided technical services for a variety of theaters in the northeast U.S., most notably The Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where he was a technical director from 2001-2004. He began his career in the performing arts in the early 1980s as frontman and primary songwriter for a seemingly endless string of rock and blues bands. He moved on to theatre work in the middle '90s as an actor and within a year of his first appearance onstage he was not only acting but working full-time in various backstage capacities.
