About PSF

Shakespeare's words constantly remind us of our own humanity and through his texts we can better understand our own modern experiences, anxieties, and sensibilities. The goal of the Prague Shakespeare Festival is to express this richness in ways that make it immediate to modern audiences and connects the truths of the past with the challenges and possibilities of today. The PSF will draw on the whole spectrum of world drama, but our work is rooted in Shakespeare, stems from Shakespeare, and is intended to build a strong bridge between the classical theatre and the popular theatre of our time.

The mission and vision of the Prague Shakespeare Festival follows a long-standing tradition of classical, theatre excellence initiated by Guy Roberts, Artistic Director of the PSF. The members of the PSF Artistic Company are dedicated to bringing audiences the highest level of professional and theatrical productions.

If you would be interested in joining the PSF, we hold general auditions annually. If you would like to work with us, volunteer or intern with us, please contact the Prague Shakespeare Festival. We would be interested in hearing from you!
